Free Antivirus For Different Operating Systems
I searched on Download.com for free antivirus. There were 223 results returned for all operating systems. I narrowed my search to only include Mac OS X Server and only one item was returned. Intego publishes VirusBarrier X4 10.4.3. The publisher of the software says that the program is a simple, fast and non-intrusive antivirus security solution for Macintosh computers.
I went back to the previous search for free antivirus on Download.com and narrowed my search result to only include the Linux operating system. There was no software that fit my search criteria. I changed the operating system search for free antivirus to Unix and there were also no results.
I’m not sure who still runs Windows 95 on their computer, but when I filtered my search for free antivirus to include Windows 95, 85 different items were returned. I sorted my results to show the top picks by CNET editors for free antivirus. I was not shocked when AVG Antivirus Free Edition topped the list.
I changed my search to include free antivirus for the Windows

XP operating system and 199 items were returned. I sorted the results to show that top user results and the top software, according to user reviews, was FortiClient 3.0.1. It has been downloaded by more than 1000 people. The next search result was for the BitDefender Standard 9. That free antivirus software has been downloaded more than 4000 times.
I found some free antivirus for a Pocket PC. There is a product called PC-cillin for Wireless 2.0. The publisher of this software is TrendMicro. There has only been one user review and the reviewer said that the software had a very simple interface and was very easy to install.
